For the last few week's we've been looking at this new online war engine, and i must say guys, it's like nothing you've ever seen.. Forget vef, forget CW, this thing is truly the future. It is still in beta stages but pretty much good to fly, and we have designed our own prokhorovka campaign.

Luke flw a sortie last night with us, he can tell you how it feels. Just to point out some of the features:
Full commander control over ALL ground air and sea units
limited number of planes
realistic recon
ability to plan any type of missions, from ground attack to escort
you never know what the opposition is doing.. you gotta be looking for that hun in the sun all the time
all ground units on the tactical map are in the mission..
you need to id what you are attacking to prevent friendly fire
you can watch huge ground battles, with dozens of tanks, at guns and so on, it's all going on accordind to what was planned..

there's much much more.. i'm really in a hurry at the moment so i can;t lay it all out to you guys.. and we're still testing, we still have alot to learn about it.. so drop an eye here for the tactical map from the allied commander's Point of view: http://d13-th.traznet.ro/ScorchedEarth/ ... efault.php

select prokhorovka and logind with user alliedranks and pw red

also on the bottom of the first page( where the different campaigns are) there are links to the stats.

this: http://www.aircombat.net/phpBB2/index.php is the official forum
and this: http://seow.sourceforge.net/ i the official page.

I would like to invite you to come fly with us, we're launching out of HL usually bout 7:30-8-ish British time.. for the planeset we have p40C, SpitVb, Yak1, hurri field mod, Il2 and tb3 and LW have 109 E7/B; F4;G2 and IAR81c(well they only have 1 left now cuz we wiped them out) :P and stookies and He111.

We're gonna fly a couple of mission tonight.. so come and see fo yourselves. I guarantee a great experience guys.. this is the future of online wars.

Hi Rhyn0

Hopefully pop along tonight. I'm not into anything too involved and like to fly for the FUN. Sounds fascinating though and certainly worth a try.

:)

it looks good Rhyno. I like the city maps facility. The factories are actually producing planes  ? So I guess there is an added incentive to bomb them - and a new dimension to the strategy side of the game. Is that how it works?

So many ground units! It should be interesting. How will this effect framerates etc though?

I doubt I'll have time to check it out this week. So maybe next.

the factory production is not yet fully ready.. basically it doesn;t work atm, but we're using a "pen and paper" system.. we manually add the units produced as reinforcements on the next day at 3 o'clock.

Well we had a few problems when we tried to move them ALL at once.. but now we have a set of rules in place that limit ground movement to 20 units/mission and it worked ok, not a glitch

Getting a bit jaded with CW, so must give it a whirl. Although from what Tumble says, looks like we might we doing the old Romanian Trick and reevaluating our allegiances....that G2 sounds a might beast now
