Par example... perfect text book bomb run last night over Berlin on the dedi server... first run through was spoiled by an annoying flak wagon... so, 3 minutes flying to get round to my IP (initial point - gotta use the jargon ;)) and run in again north-south. set the sight up again... line up the cross on the big pile of tanks... leftleft.. riiiight... riiiight... steeaaddy.... BOMBS GONE! watch through the sight as I overfly the target - see the 3 1000lbers impact right in the middle of the tank's formation (3 sec delayed action) turn for home and get 7 tanks :)

I wish i wish i wish I'd recorded that :( took my score from -60 (got a friendly plane by mistake before I'd took off) to 455 :D

My moment involved an awesome dogfight in a bellum against my first human kill JZG_Veirbein (Who I later found out is a v. good pilot). He was in a 106G6 me in a Yak1B.

We were turning for nearly 5mins before I finally got a snapshot on him as his passed my nose at about 2" away, giving him a fuel leak, so he hit the deck (from 3.5-4k) and head for home... I wasn't letting him get away, so dived straight after him, got to 690KPH and I could feel the rivets shaking lose.. he was ever so just pulling away, so I tap a few rounds off to try and pursuade him to turn, but he wouldn't, so I tap a couple more and get his control cables :D

He bailed but was at roughly 30m so died.

He then paged me "How the hell did you catch up @680KPH?"

To which I reply: "@690 by holding onto my ailerons with both hands and elevators with both feet. Steering with my teeth"

I was so pleased with it I think I flooded Hat's HL with pager messages about it :D

funny...has happened to me too :) on the MA dedicated, early Friday am, before work.

Am forcing myself into P47's, so loaded up with rockets, and off I went.

Have now pretty much sorted the targeting of rockets in a steep decent at over 550 kph. It makes you kinda safe at that speed, and you can extend and climb away t'other side.

BUT for some reason simply not attempting to hld the target, but simply letting the AA canon pass through my site and squeezing off the rockets at the point where the AA passes through my sites works a treat.

So...in low and really fast......past the target to see its position and extend, climb, roll, flaps down for slow high altitude roll over onto my canopy, power cut, nose drop, flaps up, power up, nose down, 45dgree angle of attack, let those rockets off early when lined up, level out, extend and repeat. 6 rockets, 3 passes, 10% off AA dead....home :)

it would make for one hell of a TV advert

The drive of your life . . . indeed :D

I'd personally like to see the Corsa vs the FW190

or maybe the Micra up against an I-16 :P
