Only annoying thing is that by the time I'd decided to buy it, Play.com had gone out of stock, so I have had to pay £20 more cause I can't wait any longer .
So by the time of the LAN I should be totally confused

got my vote on that!
War Games: The genre closest to perfect and yet furthest from it too. IL-2, ARMA2, Call of Duty.. the list of close to ideal and far from perfect is eternal...
I waited until I was telling her about my £6K bonus from work, then said my current Joystick was the reason I was getting shot down all the time and I only needed £99 for a replacement. So I still need to explain why it's £120!!! when the credit card bill arrives and I'll aslo need to explain why I will continue to get shot down
Pros = Superb feel and action. Lightweight unit and light action (suits me). Manual Trim wheels for Aerelon and Elevator so you can trim even it aircraft never had trim.
Cons = NO TWIST!!!! - I didn't even think to check before ordering. Hellishly complicated set-up and programming (16 virtual devices, 3 modes (6 with shift option) and 32 buttons plus POV). No adjustment for small hands.
Simple flight is way way better than the X52. Might have to keep pedals now???
It's been a bloody nightmare configuring this beast. The whole concept of "virtual devices" has been difficult to grasp and the "help" files are all but bloody useless. It's been a long struggle with trial and error! I'm almost there though. I had hoped to avoid using the pedals by mapping rudder to a wheel on the throttle, but found the same thumb used to control this wheel also controls wheel brakes. I didn't discover the problem until i tried to land!
Looks like I might be totally confused just in time for the LAN....and of course it's now too late to go back!
Just one tip.....dont take the slot in front of me in a coop.

I can see this LAN having some comedy moments already...
