X52 PRO on the cards..

No specs as yet, only thing Saitek have confirmed is that it will have a dual spring (soft for small movements and stronger as you reach limits) on the stick and more metal components (all buttons, switches and rotaries will be metal)

Looks the biz.

I've played with it already...

BUT...

I'm not allowed to tell you much about it ...yet.

Suffice to say that the MFD has been HUGELY improved, the action on the stick itself is bloody sublime and the build quality is superb, loads more metal components than the X52 which was, well, a bit plasticy in places...

Let's just say that Saitek are moving up-market a bit with this one.

So expect a price over the £100 mark.

mmmm.... challenging CH for the top slot in gear then..

should mean that the standard X52 comes down a bit though...

either way I'll hang on a tad.

Deckard, I've asked Richard at Saitek if their is any functional difference (e.g. extra modes/buttons, if the servos are different in response to the deadzone issues etc.) but he won't confirm, nor deny :s Can you?

Well, I'm still hankering after a CH Fighterstick. After using the X52 for a long time now I'm not wonderfully impressed by the response. Like Thorn, I'd want to be reassured about this first. Put it this way, with Saiteks track record, I wont be rushing out to get one until they have been reviewed "in the field" rather than just the pre-production models.
